This is Coach Johnson’s 29th year of coaching High School basketball and his 22nd year at JJ Pearce High School. He has been the head basketball coach at Olney High School and Plains High School prior to coming to Pearce. He has 510 career wins entering this season. Coach Johnson played NCAA basketball at Abilene Christian University, where he graduated with a BS degree in History and Physical Education. Coach Johnson is married to Coach Sommer Johnson. She teaches Avid and P-Tech and is the Stampede Director at Pearce. They have 3 boys Haden, Bryce , and Tate.

Coach Reid is in 15th year of teaching world history and coaching basketball. He has coached previously in Frisco ISD and at Lake Highlands High School. This is his 5th year as a Pearce Mustang. He is a former Pearce graduate and went on to earn his degree in education at Baylor University. Coach Reid and his wife, Lauren have three daughters, who are excited to be Mustangs. In his spare time, Coach Reid enjoys being outside and spending time with his wife and daughters.

Coach Michael Rivera is in his 12th year of teaching and coaching. He will be teaching World History/World Geography and coaching Cross Country and Boy's Basketball this year. While earning his Bachelors degree he served four years as a Student Assistant with the Men’s Basketball team at Tarleton State University. He then graduated with his Masters Degree in Sports Administration from Concordia Austin. He has coached at John Paul II, Spruce High School and Braswell High School. He most recently worked as a Middle School Coach in Allen ISD. He is married to his wife, Jennifer. They have a son, Grayson, and twin daughters, Graciela and Greenleigh.
